IT TAKES TO RECEIVE UK ETA<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/search\/news-and-communications?level_one_taxon=c58fdadd-7743-46d6-9629-90bb3ccc4ef0&amp;order=updated-newest\">UK Government website <\/a><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Dear Partner,<\/p><p>Just as a reminder for you and your clients, all people traveling to the United Kingdom starting on <strong>April 2nd<\/strong> <strong>2025<\/strong> will need a UK ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) and must apply for a UK ETA in advance, unless they are excluded.<\/p><p>Some useful information about this new document:<\/p><h4><strong>What is the UK ETA<\/strong><\/h4><ul><li>ETA is the abbreviation for the UK Electronic Travel Authorisation is a new entry requirement for visitors from certain countries. This is an electronic permission to travel to the UK,<\/li><li>similar to: the ESTA for the USA or the ETA for Canada<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><h4><strong>Who <u>does not need<\/u> to apply<\/strong><\/h4><ul><li>Passengers with a British or Irish passport, diplomats, visa nationals and those already granted permission to\u00a0enter or remain in the country, will not\u00a0need a UK ETA to travel to the UK. All visa nationals will still require a visa.<\/li><\/ul><h4>\u00a0<\/h4><h4><strong>Who needs to apply<\/strong><\/h4><p>All other passengers will need a UK ETA to travel to the UK:<\/p><ul><li>EU citizens require a UK ETA as of April 2nd 2025 and can apply now.<\/li><li>Non-EU citizens (including visa free country citizens) had required a UK ETA as of January 8th 2025 already.<\/li><li>Traveling with children: Every family member needs their own UK ETA, regardless of age.<\/li><li>New\/multiple passports: If you get a new passport, you will need a new UK ETA. If you hold more than one passport, remember to travel with the passport linked to the UK ETA.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><h4><strong>Validity of an UK ETA<\/strong><\/h4><p>This ETA is valid:<\/p><ul><li>for two years and permits visits to the UK for up to 6 months<\/li><li>Valid for entry by air, land and sea.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><h4><strong>UK ETA fee<\/strong><\/h4><ul><li>currently cost \u00a310 fee (approx. 12 \u20ac \/13 $)<\/li><li>from 09th of April 2025 will be \u00a316 fee (approx. 19 \u20ac \/ 21 $)<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><h4><strong>Advantage of this ETA<\/strong><\/h4><ul><li>It replaces the single-use Electronic Visa Waiver (EVW) scheme, offering a multi-entry option at a lower cost.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><h4><strong>How long it takes to receive UK ETA<\/strong><\/h4><ul><li>Usually within 3 working days, sometimes longer.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>For more information and application, visit the UK Government website.
